In 1981, Matthew Moulton began his career in water treatment in the drinking water industry working with manufacturers of water treatment devices to develop, design and manufacture new and innovative methods and apparatus for the treatment of water, ranging from ion exchange, chemical feed and disinfection to high purity water processes and membrane separation technology. In his role, he also helped businesses acquire regulatory accreditation for products including National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and UL certifications.
In 1996, Moulton started focusing on industrial wastewater treatment and stormwater filtration. He joined CleanWay Environmental Partners, Inc. in 2005 as general manager. During his tenure, he has designed, tested, patented and brought to market many innovative and highly effective products ranging from retrofit stormwater filtration devices to complete wastewater treatment systems for the removal of heavy metals. He designed manufacturing methods and machinery for production of the company’s product lines, MetalZorb® Metals Removal Media and Storm Clean® Stormwater Filtration Products.
Moulton developed market strategies to bring MetalZorb into widely accepted use across the USA and internationally. He was also instrumental in acquiring manufacturing rights to the MetalZorb technology worldwide.
